The Christ Presbyterian Chapel Dedicated in 1938 Christ Chapel

OUR HIV/AIDS PROGRAMME
In October last year an agreement was signed between the Ghana Aids Commission and the Christ Presbyterian Church for HIV/AIDS education, entrepreneurial training and capacity building. The project has been shifted to the Youth Centre, where the coordinator, Mr. Eugene Appiah Owiredu, a national service person now doubles up as the Director for the Centre.

ICT CENTRE
With the help of Mr. Owusu Dankwa, one of our members in Denmark, the Church took delivery of a number of Computers from Denmark. Fifty of them were donated to some selected schools in Akropong. The District Chief Executive of the Akuapem North District Assembly was the Guest of Honour at that function. We have taken advantage of the computers to establish an ICT Centre in the Youth Centre. Plans are far advanced to hook the ICT Centre to the Internet.

THE SPIRIT OF GOD IS STILL AT WORK
The Spirit of God is still on course in changing people. Last year through our evangelistic activities, many people gave their lives to the Lord. Three of them are unique and we need to praise the Lord Almighty for that. Among the three, one of them was fetish priestess, another was a special assistant to another fetish priestess and the last one was a former chief state executioner. He is in the person of Mr. Bossman Yaw Pabi, previously known as ‘Teacher [brafo’

TEACHING SERVICE
The Christ Presbyterian Church organizes teaching service on the third Sunday of every month. Here, basic Christian faith topics and doctrinal issues are treated.

SCHOOL OF MINISTRY
As part of capacity building in the Church another innovation has taken place. A leadership-training programme, known as School of Ministry has been established. We meet at the Riis Memorial Hall every Wednesday at 6.00pm. Please enroll today for a better spiritual guidance.

CATERING SERVICES
The Youth have taking the challenge of running catering services from the canteen of the Youth Centre. They have various African dishes, drinks, candies etc. They would be caring for your party needs very soon.

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP US
The first thing you can do to help us is to pray. After that, our the major tasks are, the renovation of the Chapel constructed by our forebears, the renovation of the house constructed by the late Rev. Andreas Riis, and the completion of the ICT Centre. They are all very dear to our hearts and we pray that you donate to a worthy cause.
